Learning to burn

My most recent wheeze is the art of pyrography. I started learning in April this year and am completely addicted! I have started with a fixed point single temperature pyrography tool - basically a soldering iron with replaceable tips and I've got quite a long way with it. I then bought a socket dimmer for a fiver which allows me to control the voltage to the tool, and therefore allows me more tonal control. Less heat, lighter burning!

But today I have ordered a hot wire pyrography machine - hopefully the bees knees - which will allow me complete and fine temperature control, and a wider variety of tips to use on my creations. Pics of a few of my efforts so far...
